An investigation by state police found the three used fake $100 and $50 dollar bills to purchase small items at Coco Farms Shell Gas Station on Route 22 in North Salem, according to state police. The three then received legitimate currency in change for the fraudulent transaction, police said.

The three charged with possession of a forged instrument, a Class C felony, and petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor were: Exondus Barnes and Dalton Daley, both 21 of Queens; and Isaiah Styles, 22, of Brooklyn.

All three subjects were arraigned at the Town of North Salem Court, and remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or secure bond. They are next scheduled to reappear before the court on Monday, June 24.
